Thinks it’s Woburn but is so far from it

This is my local course, it’s 9 holes and is very short, don’t bother with driver as most holes are reachable with a fairway wood or hybrid. I decided not to join here as it’s only 9 holes and there’s much better courses on the area, however if I was a new golfer or had a handicap over 28 this would be the place. The driving range is good and looked after but since Covid you have to be a member to use it! The clubhouse is a mobile like the ones from school. Shame it’s become a private club as I wouldn’t be queuing to play here, but using the driving range was convenient. Fortunately there are two other courses a short drive away with ranges. In short unless you’re new, a ridiculous high handicap or hit your clubs under 180 yards go elsewhere.

Nice course

Nice and flat which was a relief for someone as unfit as me. Not too busy and nice area to sit down with a beer or coffee after 9 holes

Kingsnorth Golf Club - A Superbly Run 9 Hole, 18 Tee Golf Club

I participated in a Celebrity Charity Golf Day at this superbly run family owned golf club yesterday and had a fantastic time. I'm always a bit wary of playing 9 hole golf courses because they turn out to be a bit like playing "Pitch and Putt" but this one was nothing of the sort. The tee boxes were excellent, the fairways well manicured and the greens, although just hollow tined, were running true. Although it is a 9 hole course, they use 18 separate tee boxes to give you a different view of the hole on the two loops and some are like playing a completely different hole. Theres a good spread of bunkers, water and trees to make this course very interesting and challenging for beginners and experienced golfers alike. The owner, Mark Chilcott, is a very friendly, welcoming man and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and the Pro, Tom Muchmore, is a really nice guy, not like a lot of pros who make you feel unworthy, he definitely followed the owners philosophy of the customer comes first. To sum up, if you fancy a quick 9 holes or a challenging 18, then, look no further than Kingsnorth Golf Club, it's a little gem in the Kent countryside !!!
